Eligibility criteria
Graduate or Post Graduate degree in Law from a recognised University with at least 60% marks in either of the degree examinations. Candidates belonging to SC, ST or PwBD categories need at least 55% marks. No prior work experience is required. You must be an Indian citizen between 21 and 30 years as on 1 October 2026 (born between 2 October 1996 and 1 October 2005). Age relaxations apply as per rules for SC/ST, OBC-NCL, PwBD, ex-servicemen and certain other categories.

Selection
- Phase I: Preliminary online examination on 17 November 2026 (English, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude).
- Phase II: Main online examination on 22 December 2026 (objective test including Professional Knowledge for Legal + descriptive English test).
- Interview. Final merit is based on Phase II and Interview in the ratio 80:20.
There is negative marking of one-fourth mark for each wrong answer in the objective tests.
