What Central Railway actually does
Central Railway runs trains across parts of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka. When a case is filed in a district or subordinate court, the railway does not always use a full-time law officer. It keeps a panel of private advocates and assigns cases to them. This notice is that panel. It is not a salaried Group A or Group B job.
If you are in Class 12, or you have not finished LL.B. and three years at the Bar, skip the email. Empanelment means the railway may give you cases later. It does not mean a monthly pay scale is printed. This notification does not print a monthly salary, a fee per case, or an age limit.
What kind of role this Central Railway advocate empanelment 2026 is
It is a contractual panel for District and Subordinate Courts, Notification No. 01/2026. The count is tentative: 33 places across 18 court locations. You apply for a court, not for a transferable cadre post. Higher law qualifications may get preference. A superannuated railway official who handled legal work can use that experience if it is endorsed by the DGM (Law), Dy. Chief Law Officer, or the legal head.
Who should apply — and who should skip
Apply if you have an LL.B. from a recognised university, a valid current Bar Council enrolment, and at least three years of practice as an advocate. The experience certificate must be endorsed by the Chairman of the Bar Association of the court you name. You must be willing to work in that court’s town.
Skip if you want a pay-matrix job with DA and pension. This page is not that. Skip if your practice is under three years, if the Bar Chairman will not sign the experience certificate, or if you plan to post a paper form. Late, incomplete, and ineligible emails are rejected.
