What the notice says
SCLSC internship 2026 is the standing internship scheme of the Supreme Court Legal Services Committee. The scheme on sclsc.gov.in does not print a closing date. It runs through the calendar year, usually month by month, and can be extended if the Committee needs people. If you want a winter spell, send the college-forwarded file well before the month you can sit in Delhi. The scheme PDF is here: Scheme for Internship programme. The notice list is on sclsc.gov.in/Notification.
A legal services committee is not a law firm. Article 39A of the Constitution asks the State to give equal justice and free legal aid. SCLSC was set up under Section 3A of the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987, and started work in 1996 under the Supreme Court Legal Services Committee Regulations, 1996. Interns see how a person with a low income gets a lawyer for a Supreme Court case.

What SCLSC internship 2026 asks you to do
The office is Room No. 124 to 128, B-Block, First Floor, New Additional Building Complex, Supreme Court of India, Mathura Road, near Supreme Court Metro Station, Delhi 110001. Daily hours on the full-day programme are 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Minimum period is 15 days. SCLSC will not keep more than 10 interns at a time.
There is also a half-day running programme from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM. That one needs a minimum of 30 days. The scheme does not print a stipend. It prints a certificate after successful completion. Do not assume travel or stay money. Nothing on the PDF says SCLSC will pay those.
Who should apply, and who should skip
Apply if you are pursuing a three-year or a five-year law degree from a recognised college, law school or university in India. The scheme does not split years. Skills it names: efficiency in written communication, legal writing, and basic legal knowledge.
Skip if you are not in a law degree. Skip if your college will not sign and seal the form. Applications received directly are not entertained. Skip if you cannot be in Delhi for the hours printed. Skip any page that sells an SCLSC slot. The scheme prints no fee.

Eligibility criteria

The application must go with a bio-data through the law college, institution or university, recommending the internship and stating the period. After the office intimates you, you must produce a recommendation or no-objection letter from the director, head of department, or an equivalent authorised person. The form must be signed and sealed by the HOD, director or equivalent authority.
Field exposure printed in the scheme: the SCLSC front office and internal office, so you see legal-aid applications and the grievances people bring; and the Supreme Court Mediation Centre (SCMC), under trained mediators. The scheme also says interns should see how DLSA, NALSA, HCLSC and TLSC schemes reach people who cannot pay a lawyer.

How to apply
- Download the scheme and fill the application block. Do not send a blank mail.
- Ask the college to forward it to sclsc.intern@gmail.com with your bio-data, the period you can join, and the signed and sealed recommendation.
- A mail from your personal Gmail, with no college forward, is the kind the scheme says it will not entertain.
- Keep the office numbers only for a doubt: 011-23116354 and 9910028226.
- Postal address, if the college uses post: Office of the Secretary, SCLSC, Room No. 124 to 128, B-Block, First Floor, New Additional Building Complex, Supreme Court of India, Mathura Road, Delhi 110001.

No. NALSA is the national authority. SCLSC is the committee at the Supreme Court. This page is only the SCLSC scheme. NALSA has its own form on nalsa.gov.in.
Is it paid?
The scheme does not print a stipend. It prints a certificate after you finish. Plan your own stay in Delhi.
How many seats?
Not more than 10 interns at a time.
Can I apply myself?
No. The scheme says applications received directly shall not be entertained. The college, institution or university has to recommend you.
Where are other open internships?
The internship board lists them. This page does not take applications.
