IRDAI internship 2026 — apply in the first week of November

Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI)

Added on 8 Oct 2026 by AAG Legal

What the notice says

IRDAI internship 2026 is the internship still listed on the IRDAI opportunities page, under circular IRDA/ADMN/CIR/PER/110/05/2015 dated 22 May 2015. The printed window is the first week of November each year. On 8 October 2026 that window is not open. Official page — irdai.gov.in/opportunities. Scheme text — IRDAI document 378714.

What IRDAI actually does

IRDAI is the insurance regulator. It is a statutory body. Its job is to protect policyholders and to regulate, promote and keep the insurance industry in order. The head office used for this internship is in Hyderabad.

This is not a law-firm seat and not a court internship. The circular says the work is a project or training in insurance, and only from the regulatory side.

What kind of seat this IRDAI internship 2026 is

It is a student internship at the Head Office in Hyderabad. Minimum duration is two months. Maximum is three months. The circular caps Head Office internships for a financial year at twenty, and also mentions need at IIRM, which IRDAI promotes. No bond is printed.

Who should apply — and who should skip

Apply if you are an Indian citizen, a regular student, and you are in the last year of graduation after at least two years of study, or you are in post-graduation, at a reputed institute. The circular names IITs, IIMs, IIITs, Central Universities, National Law Schools and similar institutes in India or abroad. A law student at a National Law School fits that list.

Skip if you are in the first or second year and have not completed two years of study, if you are not a regular student, or if you want a litigation seat. Also skip any form that asks for a fee. The circular does not print an application fee. Do not pay a coaching site to “forward” this file.
