What the notice says
IBBI internship December 2026 follows the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India Internship Guidelines, 2023. For a start on 1 December 2026 the application must reach at least 30 days earlier — by 1 November 2026. Stipend is ₹10,000 lump sum per month. Email the prescribed form to intern@ibbi.gov.in. About IBBI
The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India is the regulator under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016. Interns work on research and support related to insolvency processes. This is not a court internship and does not create any right to employment.
Who can apply
Law students pursuing a 3-year or 5-year law degree, or postgraduate students in Economics, Commerce, Finance, Management or Law, or M.Phil/Ph.D candidates in those fields can apply. You must get a recommendation from your institution. You cannot take leave during the internship and must bring your own laptop (workspace and internet are provided).
Dates and stipend
Application must reach at least 30 days before the intended start month. For December 2026 the last date is 1 November 2026. Duration is normally one month, extendable by up to one month at IBBI discretion. Stipend: ₹10,000 lump sum per month. No application fee is printed. Offer is normally sent about 15 days before the start date. Number of interns is set each month.
Available positions
No fixed category-wise roster is printed in the guidelines. Selection is by an internal committee.
Apply steps
- Download the 2023 Internship Guidelines and annexed form from ibbi.gov.in.
- Fill the form and obtain the signed recommendation of the competent authority of your institution.
- Email the complete application to intern@ibbi.gov.in by 1 November 2026 for a December start.
- Do not send incomplete forms. No other channel is accepted.
