What the notice says
CCI internship December 2026 needs the application to reach the Competition Commission of India by 1 November 2026. The honorarium is Rs 15,000 per month. Submit only through the online portal on cci.gov.in/internship. The standing guidelines (revised March 2020) are linked on that page.
About CCI
The Competition Commission of India regulates markets under the Competition Act, 2002. The internship is an advocacy activity under Section 49. Interns see how the law is applied. It is neither a job nor a promise of future employment at CCI.
Who applies and who should skip
Indian nationals from recognised institutions with exposure to competition law can apply. Law students: second or third year of a three-year LLB course, or fourth and final year of a five-year integrated course (including those who have written the third-year exam and are entering the fourth year), or LLM. Economics (MA/MSc, integrated, MBA) and certain professional courses are also listed. Skip if you already have a placement in hand.
Dates, duration and honorarium
The application must reach by the 1st of the month before the internship month. For a December 2026 start the last date is 1 November 2026. Duration is normally one month beginning on the first working day. Two or three months need a college recommendation for that longer period. Honorarium: Rs 15,000 per month. No application fee is printed. Up to 15 interns per month. Certificate on successful completion.
Available positions
No category-wise vacancy roster is printed in the guidelines. Selection uses the prescribed form, institutional recommendation and Statement of Purpose (about 200 words).
Apply steps
- Open cci.gov.in/internship and download the guidelines and prescribed format.
- Obtain the recommendation of the competent authority of your institution.
- Write the Statement of Purpose.
- Submit only online through the CCI website. Other formats are not entertained.
