What the notice says
CCI internship December 2026 requires the application to reach the Competition Commission of India by 1 November 2026. Honorarium is Rs 15,000 per month. Apply only through the online portal on cci.gov.in/internship. Guidelines (revised March 2020) are available on the same page.
About CCI
The Competition Commission of India is the market regulator under the Competition Act, 2002. The internship is part of its advocacy work under Section 49. Interns learn how competition law is applied in practice. This is not a job and does not guarantee future employment at CCI.
Who applies and who skips
Apply if you are an Indian national enrolled in a recognised institution with exposure to competition law. For law students: second or third year of a three-year LLB, or fourth and final year of a five-year integrated course (including those who have taken the third-year exam and are entering fourth year), or LLM. Economics, Management and certain professional courses are also listed. Skip if you already have a placement in hand.
Dates and honorarium
Application must reach by the 1st of the preceding month. For December 2026 the deadline is 1 November 2026. Internship normally starts on the first working day of the month and lasts one month. Two or three months are possible only with a college recommendation for that period. Honorarium is Rs 15,000 per month. No application fee is printed. Up to 15 interns a month.
Available positions
No category-wise roster is printed in the guidelines. Selection is based on the application, recommendation and statement of purpose.
How to apply
- Download the guidelines and prescribed form from cci.gov.in/internship.
- Get the recommendation of the competent authority of your institution.
- Write a Statement of Purpose of about 200 words.
- Submit only online through the CCI website.
- Do not use any other format or email unless the page explicitly allows it.
Certificates are issued on successful completion.
